Howard B. Leff is a prominent and highly respected attorney with over 31 years of experience concentrating in the areas of matrimonial and family law, and labor and employment law. The firm represents clients in Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties, and all of the boroughs of the City of New York. The firm's extensive experience in trying cases in Federal and State Courts, both jury and non-jury cases, over the past 31 years, is unsurpassed. Howard is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, Eastern and Southern Federal District Courts and all other Courts in the state of New York.

Howard is a member of, and has lectured extensively for, the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association on various areas of both matrimonial and family law and labor and employment discrimination law. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Suffolk County Matrimonial and Family Law Committee, as well as an Officer of said Association, and is intimately involved in the committee's efforts to enact policies and procedures.

Recent Appellate Decisions in which Howard represented the prevailing party:

Kost v. Kost 63 A.D.3d 798 (2nd Dep't 2009)
The Appellate Division reversed the trial court's award to the husband of only 14.63% of the appreciation in value of the former marital residence which was the wife's premarital (separate) property and awarded the husband 50% of the appreciation in value of said residence. Howard represented the husband at both the trial and at the appellate level.

Lichtman v. Martin's News Shops 81 A.D.3d 696 (2nd Dep't 2011)
The Appellate Division reversed the lower court's denial of the defendents' motion for Summary Judgment in an age discrimination and Fair Labor Standards Act case, granted the defendents Summary Judgment and dismissed the plaintiff's case. Howard represented the defendents in both the lower court matter, and at the appellate level.
